| Nine elective courses for graduate credit at the 300- or 400- level chosen from PBC and other departmental courses | |

| Student Research Seminar Presentation--Starting in the second year, every student presents a research seminar (zero credit) | |
Other PhD Degree Requirements:
- Final Exam: Oral defense of a written dissertation under the direction of a faculty member and approved by a dissertation committee.
