Degree Requirements

The following requirements are in addition to, or further elaborate upon, those requirements outlined in The Graduate School Policy Guide.

BA/MS

Total Units Required for the Master's Degree: 9 

To fulfill the MS requirements, students must take 9 graduate level (TGS-career) courses selected in consultation with the Director of Undergraduate Studies.  Three of the nine graduate-level courses (one per quarter of the student’s final year) must be an independent study (CHEM 499-0 Independent Study). 

Other MS Degree Requirements

• By the end of the third year, students should have completed nearly all of the 300-level course requirements, all or nearly all of the Weinberg College requirements, and at least 1 term of independent study.
• Students must submit a senior thesis.
