Clinical and Translational Research Certificate

The following requirements are in addition to, or further elaborate upon, those requirements outlined in The Graduate School Policy Guide.

Students in the Certificate in Clinical and Translational Research gain expertise in clinical and translational science and become more interdisciplinary in their professional endeavors.

Clinical and translational research is a discipline that fosters multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and team-based approaches to accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries to improve human health. The goal of the Clinical and Translational Sciences Program is to accelerate the translation of research findings into evidence-based policies and practices that improve human health.

Course Requirements:

A total of five courses are  required for the Clinical and Translational Research Certificate:

  • Three additional courses from the MS in Clinical Investigation curriculum (required or elective lists) or other TGS master’s degrees (with programmatic permission).

Students will be responsible for following TGS procedures to indicate that they have completed requirements for the certificate. Course substitutions or deviations will be approved by the Clinical and Translational Research Program Director.
